The documentary “Estcube-2.X: Ten Years to the Stars” tells the story of the trials and tribulations of Estonia’s first space project and its second journey from science laboratories to outer space. Constant changes in frames, the surreal COVID-19 pandemic, supply chain issues with construction parts, endless waiting for the launch, and other smaller details turned years of work into a test of patience. However, the determination of a team mostly composed of young students to take their project to the stars left no room for doubt that the mission’s satellite would be completed. Estcube-2 was finished, but as the cube left the planet Earth, fate had one more surprise in store for it.
